Sharing time so that we can grow in christ

EPHESIANS 4:11

Maranatha Worship House

Maranatha, a place where we seek the Lord in worship and fellowship, a place where we cry, “Come Lord, the Lord is coming!”

“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Something more

When the Holy Spirit came down on the day of Pentecost the disciples did not limit their spiritual lives to one day. They continued daily to gather and to fellowship together, and their lives were made all the more richer because of it.

In this day, we have leaned upon the corporate worship moments and the Sabbath fellowship hour to feed and nourish our spiritual persons, or in some cases, relied on just a sermon podcast or video without actual human interaction.

This is not all that there is. There is something more! We can not go back to our lives on Monday without the fullness that comes from experiencing what the church started in Acts 2:46. This continued gathering of believers is essential for the growth of the church body and for the synchronizing of hearts as one. In our growth and togetherness, we will present Christ to the world and more souls will come to know him as Lord.

In this fellowship, we believe that we will see believers renewed, encouraged, and challenged. So many believers have been worn-down, many have faced failure and discouragement, and some are just content to be as they always have been. But we believe that Christ brings rest and comfort. We believe that He has an assignment for every believer, and it is our hope that each one of us discovers that God-given assignment.

“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:46‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Fellowship and Discipleship

Just as Jesus came and dwelt among us and disciped men in consistent fellowship, at Maranatha our hope is to foster the same fellowship that believers would be led to Christ and grow in him. To live on the mission that has been set before us, the same mission that Christ came to earth to fulfill: to bring good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to open the prisons, to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance, and to comfort all who mourn. Our desire is that Maranatha will be a place that allows you to meet and worship with people who will come alongside you and assist you in the assignment Christ has for you.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Love language by the Holy Spirit

Even before King David was anointed to become the next king of Israel, he learned his love language to God. It was that love language that enriched David’s faith in God and gave him comfort and the courage to stand tall against giants.

At Maranatha, we want to cultivate an atmosphere where each individual present can connect with Christ through their love language. Praise and worship is the most popular expression of love to Jesus. We have a wealth of praise from King David in the psalms and we experience it weekly in our Sunday morning worship services. Maranatha is where that same worship experience can continue and we can edify each other with singing to the glory of God that we also may be enabled and equipped to stand tall.

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord…”

Ephesians 5:18-19 KJV

Missional assignments

We believe that Christ has given the saints various gifts and that as we connect with each other and the needs of the community that those gifts will be manifested. That as needs present themselves, we, as the body of Christ, will be able to stand in the gap for the least among us. We will shine as images of Christ and draw all people to Christ.

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 1:27 KJV

Maranatha is not about membership

Know that this is not a club, nor is it based on any denominational background. Maranatha is based on Jesus Christ and on Him alone.  The people who assemble at the worship house are a part of the body of Christ. All are welcome who place their faith in Jesus Christ and want to see the church as the spotless bride of Christ.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ

Ephesians 4:11-13 KJV
